ABOUT

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”

~ Oprah Winfrey

I want to do what I love; what I am passionate about;
and I am passionate about kitchen and bath design.

For over 13 years, I built a career in product marketing for the fast-paced technology industry based out of the Silicon Valley.  This may seem unrelated, but my professional skills are invaluable to any industry which needs to conceive of an idea, work with others to implement a plan, solve complex problems and drive multi-faceted projects to success.  Since 2009, I have focused on creating a family that is united, happy and operates to its fullest potential.  This is always work in progress, but I continue to have first-hand experience on how to focus on function and aesthetics to positively impact daily life.  In 2016, it was time for me to evaluate “what’s next” and determine what I can truly spend hours doing.  After a year of self-reflection, I enrolled in the NKBA accredited kitchen and bath program at Front Range Community College.  Through my studies, I have gained crucial design knowledge and delivered work that earned me First place Bathroom at the 2018 NKBA Rocky Mountain Regional Peak Awards as well as recognition on the President’s List for 4.0 students.  Best yet, I have built a portfolio of client programming, space planning, construction documents and artistic renderings - many of the highlights can be seen on my Web site.

I am not new to the world of construction and design, however.  Since I was a kid, my family always fixed up the house ourselves with various types of projects. After receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Business at Villanova University, my first job was as a marketing coordinator for a general commercial contractor and HVAC service firm. Now that I have owned a number of homes myself, I continue to design and execute all sorts of remodeling projects with my husband.  Most significantly, we redesigned our cabin from a 2/2 duplex into a 4/2 vacation home.  Walls were changed, structural support added and finishes completed.  I learned a lot from this remodel and actual hands-on work.  In addition, we recently completed a renovation to our kitchen in our primary home that looked nice on the surface but was completely dysfunctional.  My new kitchen operates brilliantly because I focused on how my family needed to utilize the space and was completed within a tight budget. This project served as the catalyst I needed to realize that the kitchen and bath industry is what I should be doing.

Thanks in advanced for looking around my Web site.  I would love to chat more about how I marry my passion for kitchen and bath design with my professional skills.
